Evangelism in Washington DC
D.C. has millions of visitors and tourists from all of the nations from around the world every year (16.4 million visitors in 2009). Approximately 1.6 million international visitors come to DC annually. Top countries of origin include: United Kingdom, Germany, Latin America (Brazil, Mexico), Japan, India, South Korea, Nordic (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden), Australia, Italy, France, China, Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium) and India
In addition, fourteen states within the U.S. supply 80% of all the millions of visitors to DC. Imagine being able to share the Gospel and the Good News of Jesus Christ to the millions of people coming from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Texas and California.
This presents a unique opportunity to preach the Gospel, repentance and the forgiveness sins through Jesus Christ, to every nation, in Jesus Christ's name. (Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19, Mark 13:10, Mark 16:15, Luke 9:6, Acts 1:8, Acts 8:4, Acts 11:19-21, Romans 10:18, 2 Corinthians 2:14, Colossians 1:23, 1 Thessalonians 1:8, 2 Thessalonians 3:1)
Come with us and help proclaim to the millions that have never heard the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. Because, "how then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." Romans 10:14-17
