What does it mean to be a Christian?

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!" ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." ~ Ezekiel 36:25-27

What is the gospel?

For what I (we have) received I passed (we now pass) on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas (that is, Peter), and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living (At the time when the Apostle Paul was writing to the Church of Corinth), though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me (the Apostle Paul) also, as to one abnormally born (Paul was the Last capital "A" Apostle). – 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
